Can you think of anything more memorable than a celebration by the coast? Especially when it’s filled with happy tears, good company and delicious food to bring everyone together. That is exactly what our Hog Roast Burnham Deepdale team aimed to capture, when we catered for Lori and Lizzie’s civil partnership celebration at Burnham Deepdale Camping and Rooms, earlier this month.
The event welcomed 86 guests for an afternoon and evening full of love, celebration and creating unforgettable moments. Our friendly catering managers Paul and Ria led the service from 4pm, as guests arrived they raised a glass to the happy couple, and enjoyed the occasion without a single worry about the food.
For this very special celebration, our hosts opted for our classic hog roast menu. The show stopper of this menu is always the whole roasted pig, which is served with traditional favourites such as crackling, sage and onion stuffing, sweet apple sauce and a selection of bread rolls and wraps, including gluten free options. Alongside the hog roast, we served mixed salad and gourmet coleslaw, creating the perfect relaxed menu for a spring celebration by the coast. Of course, making sure every guest has something they can enjoy is always important to us and we were thrilled to notice that the homemade vegan pulled jackfruit option proved so popular throughout the day. This was served in a bun with crunchy slaw and hickory BBQ sauce, it gave vegan guests a full meal option, that was just as flavoursome and delicious as the hog roast itself.
We were more than honoured to be a part of Lori and Lizzie’s special day to celebrate their civil partnership and were equally as proud to see how the food we provided became a part of the day’s memories. Guests gathered around tables swapping stories, families met for the first time over filled rolls and salads, and the day felt relaxed from start to finish.
