As the summer wedding season burns on ahead at speed, we have yet another extraordinary wedding event to tell you all about at Hog Roast Thetford. The team have been loving catering each and every weekend at some of the most beautiful and unique venues in the country, including, this week, the brilliant Brakehill Lodge Farm, which saw the joy-filled joining of hands in matrimony between Andy and Sefanit.
When you have a venue like Brakehill Barns with its beautiful outer grounds and green space nestled in amongst the woodland trees, you pray for a bright shining day. Fortunately for Andy and Sefanit, their special day brought just that. Sometimes the universe just has a habit of knowing exactly what you need for the important occasions, and this was certainly one of those. Sunny and warm, clear blue skies – bliss, nestled in amongst the grounds of Brakehill Barns.
And it gets even better as the Hog Roast Thetford catering team were on hand to deliver just as extraordinary a dining experience as the rest of the day already brought. To do so, it simply had to be our signature hog roast dining experience. A favourite amongst our wedding packages, it is the thing that most customers come to us for. Andy and Sefanit had heard plenty about it beforehand, so we were one of their first ports of call when they were in the midst of planning for their wedding catering. Lucky for them, the universe answered them once again as there was a gap in our busy summer booking slots!
So here we came to the special day itself, with the perfect conditions to be cooking our namesake hog roast. It looked brilliant out in the dazzling sun; the gold of the crispy skin leaping from the roaster and catching the eye of every guest that passed it while it cooked away in the authentic spit style. If the look was an eye-catcher, then the taste of the finished result certainly matched. Tender, crisp, meaty and flavoursome – our hog roast went just perfectly alongside sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, herb dressed new potatoes, and refreshing salad and slaws.
