Fun team building days are an extremely valuable thing for any business. At Hog Roast Norwich we have conducted our own quite often, although the nature of our job also lends itself to pretty good team building even out on the day to day job, as we end up in fun and frantic environments where teamwork is a must.
As a corporate caterer, we also help support other businesses with their own work trips and team days. One that we simply have to tell you about is this past weekend’s adventure of singing, dancing, and dining with Hello Earth Travel. Taking time as a team to come out to Spixworth Hall Cottages, the group of 40 had an incredible day planned out for them, with our own Hog Roast Norwich team simply there to help facilitate their dining as part of an all-inclusive activities day.
The evening began for the Hello Earth Travel team with a choir practice in the excellent Spixworth hall. Tuning up those vocal chords is hungry work of course, so immediately following practice it was chefs Paul and Ria of Hog Roast Norwich up to perform our own song – a hog roast power ballad! Cooked in the traditional spit style, our hog roast certainly hits the high notes with aplomb; the performance then supported by its back up singers, the sage and onion stuffing, golden crackling, and fresh apple sauce. Rounding out the performance: our classic red cabbage slaw, mixed salad, pasta salad, herb dressed new potatoes, and a follow up solo for the veggies and vegans by our grilled veg and halloumi skewers with tzatziki dip and sweet chilli sauce.
The Hello Earth Travel team were delighted by our performance, a few even asking for an encore as they came back in for seconds. But the night’s fun didn’t end there, as the Hello Earth team then returned to the floor for a night of line dancing. A great capper to an already brilliant night.
