Earlier this April, our team had the pleasure of catering an unforgettable 60th birthday party and it really did have all the ingredients of a perfect event.
The venue was the perfect place for our team to seamlessly fit into our guest of honour, Gerry’s 60th birthday, the scene was set for a relaxed but vibrant evening full of nostalgia, laughter and memories. Long before our 45 guests began arriving, our Hog Roast Brancaster Staithe team were on site, slow roasting a trio of meats until they were all perfectly tender, guests were met with the mouthwatering aroma of a variety of flavours, which had guests keen to build their perfect plate as soon as they entered the venue. With a serving time of 7:30pm, the atmosphere was already lively, with the help of a cocktail waiter, drinks were flowing and spirits were high.
Our hosts opted for our popular Southern Slow Roast menu, which was the perfect choice for this type of event, with bold flavours, comforting favourites and generous portions, all of the guests were kept happy and well fed, with some even coming back for seconds and thirds! Our feast included slow roasted beef brisket, cajun spiced chicken and sticky pork ribs, the smell alone of these three meats were enough to have guests gathering before we had announced service! Alongside the meats, we served up a selection of classic sides, creamy mac and cheese, fresh and zesty greek salad and a crunchy coleslaw that balanced everything perfectly. Add in soft bread rolls and wraps, and guests could build their plates how they liked. Everything was served on eco-friendly bamboo crockery, keeping things informal, perfect for an event like this where the focus was on relaxing, mingling and enjoying tasty food in great company.
Our catering managers, Paul and Ria, ensured the whole service was organised and professional yet friendly and approachable. From setup to the final servings, everything was handled smoothly, allowing the birthday boy Gerry, to fully enjoy the evening with friends and family. That’s something we pride ourselves on at Hog Roast Brancaster Staithe, taking the pressure off so you can actually be part of your own celebration.
