Henry works at a community centre in Norfolk and is currently organising a community meal to take place later this month. The centre hosts all kinds of events for local people, including clubs for children and adults, seasonal events, and opportunities to meet up with other people in the community. This February, Hog Roast Horning has been hired to cater for a community gathering with our classic slow-roasted hog menu. Our catering managers Ria and Paul are great at catering for large-scale events and this is our most versatile menu, so it was sure to go down a treat with the community.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Horning team arrived at the community centre in the morning and set up our catering station in the kitchen. We began by slow-roasting the hog, which required around five hours to cook to perfection. Once ready, the succulent pork was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served marinated chicken kebabs and BBQ-pulled jackfruit to ensure that there was a main dish for everyone to enjoy. The mains were accompanied by homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, creamy mac and cheese, and a fresh salad option. Our catering was a great addition to the event and was a great talking point for the evening.
