At Hog Roast Walsham no two days are the same, from luxurious events to intimate gatherings our team are ready for whatever an event brings! On 18th October, a unique gathering began, with a serve time of 8pm, for 40 former students, the Old Pastonians of North Walsham.
We aimed to add to the vision for the event which was to honour and pay tribute to the rich history of Paston’s college as their alumni span generations! The college’s roots date all the way back all the way to the 1600s too, which means this isn’t just a regular reunion, it was a celebration of legacy. What better way to honour this legacy than with good company and even better food?
Hog Roast Walsham served up our classic hog roast menu, including a whole slow-roasted pig, crispy crackling, a good helping of sage and onion stuffing, complete with sweet apple sauce. This menu is a crowd-pleaser, so we thought it would be the perfect addition to the reunion, sparking memories as well as appetites. Alongside the main event, guests could pile their plate high with herby new potatoes and a selection of freshly baked bread rolls/wraps. Of course, we always cater for all dietary requirements, so there was also a vegetarian and vegan option on offer so all guests left feeling full and satisfied.
What’s a celebration without a sweet treat? Guests could indulge in a choice of not one but two options, first up was a rich chocolate torte, followed by a creamy cheesecake, the perfect treats for our guests of honour.
The night was led by our experienced catering managers Paul and Ria, who took care not only of the service but ensured every guest was catered for and happy. They focused on everything ran smoothly so that the guests could focus on creating long lasting memories, reconnecting and lots of laughter.
From the first bite to the final goodbye, this was a memorable evening that we were more than proud to be a part of.
