Hog Roast Norwich – A Beautiful Celebration at the Maddermarket Theatre

The historic Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich provided the perfect backdrop for Julie and David’s celebration of marriage on the 23rd August. Surrounded by 80 of their closest friends and family, the day was filled with love, laughter, and a truly memorable feast from our Hog Roast Norwich team.

The menu was carefully crafted to suit every guest, offering something for everyone while keeping that special sense of occasion. At the heart of the spread was our whole roasted pig, carved fresh and served with golden crispy crackling, apple sauce, and our homemade sage and onion stuffing. To complement this centrepiece, guests also enjoyed marinated chicken thighs bursting with flavour and a beautifully prepared whole roasted salmon, adding an elegant twist to the wedding menu.

Vegetarian and vegan guests were also thoughtfully catered for, with our popular grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (served without halloumi for the vegan option), accompanied by wraps, a refreshing tzatziki dip, and a sweet chilli sauce for that extra kick.

The accompaniments rounded off the feast perfectly: a selection of fresh bread rolls and wraps (including gluten free), crisp seasonal salads, a vibrant tomato and mozzarella salad, and our classic homemade coleslaw. For the potato lovers, we served a choice of freshly made chips and sweet potato fries, complete with sauces, salt, and vinegar — a crowd favourite that went down a treat with all ages.

No celebration is complete without something sweet, and Julie and David’s guests were spoilt for choice with profiteroles and cheesecake for dessert. To make the day extra special, the couple also treated everyone to a stunning cupcake tower, featuring a mix of flavours including Oreo, Red Velvet, Lemon Meringue, and Banoffee. It was a show-stopping centrepiece that captured the joy of the day perfectly.

The food was served buffet-style, with our Hog Roast Norwich team making sure everything ran smoothly, from the carving station to the final slice of cheesecake. Using eco-friendly bamboo crockery and cutlery, we ensured not only a high-quality service but also a sustainable touch to the occasion.
