A Feast Under the Floodlights: Hog Roast Newmarket Fires Up Sam’s 50th Bash

Hog Roast NewmarketWhen Ian set out to throw a surprise 50th birthday party for his wife Sam, he knew it had to be something special. The venue? Newmarket Football Club. The guest list? 100 of their closest friends and family. The food? That’s where Hog Roast Newmarket came in and we didn’t hold back.
By the time our team arrived and the aroma of slow-roasted pork started drifting across the pitch, it was clear this was going to be more than your average birthday buffet. At the heart of it all: a whole roasted pig, glistening with crispy crackling, served with soft rolls and wraps (including gluten-free options), a spoonful of sage and onion stuffing and a dollop of apple sauce. Classic, comforting and completely crowd pleasing.
But it didn’t stop there. Hog Roast Newmarket brought the extras that elevate a meal into a memory. Bowls of vibrant mixed salad, creamy coleslaw, herb-dressed new potatoes and a colourful tomato and mozzarella platter turned the table into a feast for the eyes as well as the appetite.
Hog Roast NewmarketOne of the biggest hits of the night? Our grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, served with wraps, tangy tzatziki and sweet chilli sauce. Whether guests were meat lovers or vegetarians, there was something for everyone and the feedback came in thick and fast (often between mouthfuls): “Delicious”, “So fresh” and “When can I get seconds?”
With service kicking off at 8pm and a relaxed,  laid-back vibe flowing through the evening, Hog Roast Newmarket was proud to play a part in a celebration filled with laughter, great music and even better food.
Here’s to Sam’s milestone birthday and to events that get everything just right, from the setting to the seasoning.
