Find out how Hog Roast Long Great Yarmouth celebrated the launch of a brand new Equinor ship this July!

Hog RoastOver the years, Hog Roast Long Great Yarmouth has catered for so many wonderful events that have seen us attending all kinds of unique and exciting venues and meeting so many brilliant people. Whatever the occasion may be, we can guarantee that it will be even better with a delicious meal from our team! Here is just one menu that you could enjoy this summer.

On the 18th of July, the Hog Roast Long Great Yarmouth team catered for the official launch of the Imogen Rose, Equinor’s brand new crew transfer vessel. The ship was built in 2024 and is a state-of-the-art vessel powered by Volvo Penta’s IPS propulsion system. The Imogen Rose will offer greater fuel efficiency and lower emissions whilst supporting Equinor’s offshore wind operations. There were 60 guests at the event and our catering managers Paul and Ria were hired to serve a classic hog roast for everyone to enjoy.

On the morning of the event, the Hog Roast Long Great Yarmouth team got to work bright and early to prepare for the 14:00 serving time. We began our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection for around five hours. Once the pork was packed full of natural juices and flavours, it was expertly carved and served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. We also served our hearty pulled jackfruit, which was steeped in a hickory BBQ sauce and dressed with a crunchy slaw. The mains were served alongside our tomato and mozzarella salad, a mixed leaf salad, gourmet coleslaw, and freshly made chips. This created an incredible menu with plenty for every guest to enjoy, and more than enough to go around.

No event is too big or too small for the Hog Roast Long Great Yarmouth team, and we are sure to have a menu that will suit your guest list. To find out more, simply let us know your event size, date, and location, and we can get you booked in!
