On the 28th of June, Hog Roast Gresham catered for a wonderful wedding reception to celebrate Hollie and Stephen tying the knot. The event took place at Chaucer Barn, which is a beautiful venue and was perfect for the summer reception, with plenty of space for the 80 guests to enjoy the entertainment and great food. For the menu, our managers Ria and Paul needed to provide an option that would be suitable for the entire guest list, including any plant-based guests. The couple decided that our classic hog roast menu would be perfect, since it is a simple yet incredibly delicious option.

On the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Gresham team arrived at the venue in the morning and got to work on preparing our menu. We started by slow-roasting the hog, which needed to cook for around five hours to ensure that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once the pork was ready, it was expertly carved and served in a selection of fresh bread rolls and wraps, alongside homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, and sage and onion stuffing. For meat-free guests, we served our BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious alternative to pork and is always a big success. The main dishes were accompanied by herby baby potatoes, gourmet coleslaw, and a green leaf salad, which ensured that our menu was varied and tasty!
